Countdown to Groundhog Jog

The Groundhog Jog, our annual 5 km run, is fast approaching.  Beyond supporting a growing outdoor education program, ECO-Shores, participating in the race brings other benefits as well.  After a week or two of indulgence, running is a great way to get or stay in shape.  One of the benefits of running is the simplicity of the sport.  You need less equipment than kayaking or biking, and you can run just about anywhere in any weather.

Regardless of your strength and endurance as a runner, the Groundhog Jog is a run you should consider.  We support racers of all levels by offering some friendly competition for fast runners and a friendly ‘sweep’ to accompany those who like to run slowly or mix some walking in with their run.
